I’m excited to announce that my song “Addicted” is featured in the commercial for the series finale of Desperate Housewives!  The spot started running last week and will hopefully run for a few weeks. So if you find yourself watching an ad for the longest running show about beautiful, murderous, drama filled housewives on Wisteria Lane, you might hear me singing.

Also, I just finished the first five songs of the new record! It’s been quite a process filled with new minds (mine), violins (I’m the only player), gospel choirs (I’m the only member), an awesome producer (Curt Schneider), sick musicians (David Levitta, Aaron Sterling, Zach Rae, and Aaron Redfield).. Halfway there!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! and any other holiday i missed!

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. I am still in the process of making my new record and am psyched for you all to hear it! soon…. not for a bit… In the meantime, I wanted to send a little gift to all of you, fans and friends, that i so dearly love. So, here is a little token of my appreciation! For being great supporters of music. This is a song that i wrote and recorded at home called “Winter’s the Time for Love”. I hope you like it!

The only catch is, there are only 1000 free downloads of it — So get em quick!! It’s super easy. Just click on the link, put in your email and you will get the code to your free download. Once you have it, put it on your ipods and sit around the fire, tree, menorah with friends, family, pets and anyone else you spend the holidays with, and drink a lot of hot cocoa, or eggnog, or Hot Toddies, whichever you prefer. I also reloaded my SNOW DAY Holiday EP for those who weren’t able to get it last year. Hope you all have a great holiday and a very Happy New Year!

And remember WINTER’S THE TIME FOR LOVE!

I am very excited to announce, although a little late, that my Girl Named Toby song called “Holding a Heart” is being featured in the new movie entitled “What’s Your Number?” starring Ana Faris and a bunch of hot guys. This is the third time this song has been placed, but this is it’s first movie feature!! I might get a cake.. Gotta love One Tree Hill and Vampire Diaries for making it happen before. Well this is another great opportunity to expose this song that i LOVE LOVE LOVE! Tell all your friends, go get some popcorn, sit back and (hopefully) enjoy the movie and clap when you here my song!! Even if it’s a sad part because most likely it will be…

Hey folks! I am writing to let you all know that I am making a small change to my digital project, T Killa’s Workshop. For those of you who don’t know what that is, over the past year and a half, I have been posting little 4-5 song collections of music that I have fortunately gotten placed on different TV shows and movies. Which is super exciting! In addition to these songs, I write a synopsis of who I wrote the song with, what we wrote it for, and if it was used or not. These songs are NOT on any of my albums and are only available for purchase through my website, T Killa’s Workshop, to be exact. From now on these EPs will be posted for a limited time only. Once a new collection is put up, it will be available for purchase for only two weeks. That being said, I will be taking down all of the collections in one week to make way for my newest one. I will be notifying on my Facebook Artist Page when the newest EP is up and ready!

So you have one more week to drink in all the splendor of T Killa’s Workshop: Songs Collection Vol. 1, The Wright Collection, Summer of Love, and The Holiday Collection. There are links below to each of them for your listening and purchasing pleasure:) Just click on the album of your choice.

Love,
Toby

The Best Time on Cayamo

February 21, 2011

Hey All

I just wanted to say hey and tell y’all (I say that now) that i had the best time on the Cayamo Cruise!  It was a week long music festival on a Norwegian Cruise boat with amazing people and amazing artists to listen to.  I saw Brandi Carlisle, Indigo Girls (i lived for them in high school), John Prine (who blew me away), Colin Hay (who never dissappoints with his amaingly raspy, familiar voice and awesome humor), Chuck Cannon (who is a great writer), Steep Canyon Rangers (They single-handedly made me a new fan of bluegrass, and when they played bluegrass versions of Men at Work songs with Colin, i was floored), Shawn Mullins (the bass in his voice is ridiculous)…. and so many more…  It was a week of fun in the sun, great ports, great times with all who work at Sixthman, and surprising for a cruise, great food!  I decided to bring my parents, and my mom has not stopped saying that it was the best vacation she’s ever been on!  They just might have crossed over from their love of doo-wop to being addicts of bluegrass and folk.  I have to tell you all that if you weren’t on the cruise or never heard of it or whatever, make sure you check it out because I hope to be on it again next year and to see you all there too!
